Spring Equinox
On the Spring Equinox, the day and night are equal in length. From this point in the year, each day gets a little longer until peaking at the Summer Solstice. Where I live, the weather finally starts getting warmer, and we start seeing unmistakable signs of life - leaves budding, daffodils blooming, and robins hunting for worms. To me, this time of year feels like a promise being fulfilled.
It's easy to feel grateful to the Earth Mother and all the Kindreds when life is being renewed all around me. I feel more energetic - time to dust off my exercise routine and get back outside. After enduring the long, cold, dark days - it feels wonderful to be able to leave the house without needing many layers of winter gear!
